GREATNESS : THE MIRROR : BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
Sometimes it is hard to look in the mirror. You know, after a bad day, after a big mistake, after a tough break up, it can hurt to look in the mirror. Other times it feels great to look in the mirror. You know, after a successful date, successful business venture, after success; you might even wink at your self while forming your hand into a gun.
It is this self examination that pushes us to see our strengths and weaknesses. From this moment on we can now leverage our strengths and work on our weaknesses. But if you fear to know yourself, then you simply fear the truth, and greatness can only be built upon the foundation of truth.
We must examine other men as well, frankly speaking (Franklin speaking, frankly speaking, see what I did there?) in order to be wise, in order to take your craft farther than those who have come before you.
